French cloud firm Scaleway to build AI supercomputer in Sweden
Scaleway plans to place a new AI supercomputer in Sweden as part of expanding European AI infrastructure. The machine will use AMD Instinct MI355X and be built by Bull.
French cloud company Scaleway will build an AI supercomputer in Sweden. It is the company's first supercomputer outside France.
The system will run on AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs. Bull will install and maintain it, while Giga Computing, HPE and VAST Data supply servers, networking and storage. Scaleway has not said how large the system will be or when it will be ready.
Scaleway entered the Swedish market through a partnership with Tele2 signed in May. Tele2 says the investment makes it easier for Swedish organisations to develop and scale AI in Sweden.
