Anthropic files for IPO, reporting $16.3 billion in first-half revenue

Anthropic has filed with the SEC for an initial public offering and plans to list under the ticker ANT. The filing shows sharply higher revenue and a net loss of $80.7 billion.

Anthropic has filed publicly with the SEC to list its shares on the Nasdaq under the ticker ANT. The filing follows weeks of leaked draft documents. The company has not yet said how much it wants to raise or at what price.

According to the filing, revenue in the first half of 2026 was $16.3 billion, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier. The operating loss narrowed to $693 million from $2.1 billion. The net loss was $80.7 billion, mostly from non-cash changes in the value of convertible notes and similar instruments. In the twelve months to September, more than 11,900 customers spent at least $100,000 and about 250 spent more than $10 million.

The seven co-founders will hold 50.1% of the votes through a "Founder LLC", which gives them control regardless of how many shares they own. Anthropic says the structure is meant to protect its AI safety mission.
